Wow, this years Surf Expo was truly amazing! From our meetings with all of our retailers to seeing friends in the Stand Up Paddleboard Community, this Expo was the best ever! And for those of you that were unable to make it, we did miss you, so we wanted to share some of the adventure of our weekend in Orlando.
Starting off on Wednesday we all headed over to the Orlando Watersports Complex where the SUP community took to the water. We brought our full quiver of boards for everyone to paddle, test and experience BOGA Paddle and Surf for themselves. They Typhoons were speed tested, the BOGA Yoga had Yogis sharing their SUP Yoga practice while the Premium, Cruiser, Touring and Air Series all made their way around the lake. There were a lot of smiles and laughs and many stoked paddlers!
The show kicked off on Thursday and wrapped up on Saturday. In those 3 days the booth was buzzing with excitement as we released our new 2016 models. We were excited to share the new features of the line and have the interactive experience of seeing and handling the boards first hand!
In true BOGA fashion we wanted our booth to feel cozy and open to walk through and see the products first hand. We had a viewing table set in the center of the booth where boards could be looked at up close and personal. In the corner we had a lounge area with our 2016 catalogs and product information available for viewing. The booth was covered with pictures of our team using our products out in the wild, showing the essence of our lifestyle brand.
So what’s new for 2016? We added 3 new Team Edition, brush carbon Surf Models. Similar to the Team Edition Race Models, we wanted to add something a bit lighter with less volume for the surfers looking for the next level board. The Glider, a 10′ all around board that has a sleek pin tail making it a great long board style SUP Surf as well. Coming in the Bamboo color schemes, orange, chocolate and Caribbean, this board has us all excited for 2016. The fun, yet stable touring shape, El Tiburon, received a slight make over for 2016. With a newly designed nose based off of the Typhoon adding more glide and ease to the paddling making the touring experience even more fun. The deck has been flattened giving a full platform to stand on from rail to rail. The El Rey also received a makeover as we brought it down to the 11’6 size range while still keeping the glide and stability the it is known for. We are very excited about our full line of paddles for 2016, coming in 2 different paddle sizes catering to all levels of paddlers from first timers to elite racers. Very similar to our boards our paddles have retro surf colors and stripping, bamboo and come in a variety of constructions. We are focused on making paddles to fit your every need and bringing the BOGA vibe with it. We will be doing a full product review on all of our new 2016 products shortly as we know you are excited to hear more about them!
If you were unable to make the Surf Expo or want to see more of the boards, the BOGA Team is on the road for the next 3 weeks hosting demos and clinics. Check out BOGA Boards and BOGA Yoga on Facebook to see where we will be!
Thank you everyone for making this show possible and your continued support, it is you that makes BOGA Paddle and Surf!
