Name: Jess Amendola

Age: 28

Hometown: St Augustine, FL

Favorite Yoga Destination:  Outdoors .. One day I hope to travel to Bali and India to be able to learn and practice.

Favorite Mantra:  Love all, serve all, create no sorrow

Never leave home without: a bottle of water

Where does Yoga take you: Yoga takes me to my true self. It takes me to peace.

Favorite BOGA Yoga Board: Bamboo

What BOGA Yoga is to me:  Boga Yoga is not just a brand, but a lifestyle and a community. Like-minded individuals who love the outdoors and love yoga, connecting and vibing as one.

Favorite activities besides Yoga: I love anything at the beach; searching for treasures, swimming or surfing in the ocean, jogging..

Favorite pose: I have two.. handstands and downdog.. Handstands always make me feel empowered, strong and happy.. Downdog is super grounding anytime I feel stressed or tension in my body.

Best thing about SUP Yoga: I love being able to experience my two loves, yoga and the ocean, at the same time. I always forget that my body is actually working hard. It is so peaceful to feel the gentle rocking of the board with the water!

Favorite place to practice: On or near saltwater

Daily Ritual: Warm lemon water and stretches to start my day. Then I drink a big glass of water, have a piece of fruit and my green tea or french pressed coffee. I like to start my day in a quiet, peaceful space; it makes a huge difference in my entire day.

Inspirations: The ocean! All of my yoga flows display the same sense of fluidity as the ocean waves. It is my peace and something I wish for everyone to feel.

Favorite Food: Avocados !! I eat them whole!

Why do you teach Yoga: I teach yoga because it has changed my life and it is a privilege to be able to share it with others. I want others to be able to live their best lives and feel amazing in their bodies while doing it! Yoga changed the way I look, the way I feel about my body and the way I think.
