Wanderlust Stratton:

A perspective by Katie Collins a BOGA Yoga Ambassador:

I find my connection to the world in the connections I make with others. Cultivating deep connections seemed to be the theme of this years’ Wanderlust Stratton.  As days passed by so incredibly fast as good times always do (sigh), the connections I made on that small Harbor beach will no doubt last lifetimes. I taught six classes at this years WL Vermont, and each class was as different and unique as the last. I began my BOGA classes trying something completely different, something I was admittedly pretty nervous about! But the universe connected beautifully- held out the rain and thunder and we kicked off our first classes at Wanderlust Vermont with special guest musician Kevin Paris, joining in on our beautiful floating studio. The vibes were high to say the least! His soulful voice paired beautifully with what we aim to create in our floating studios- a connection to nature, to the birds and to the sun herself. The weekend continued on with that high vibrational energy- as we made new friends from LA, Syracuse, and the cutest couple backpacking the East Coast! Sure we had a few “falls” but the smiles it created made it SO worth it!  Our little Harbor beach also served as an awesome open space to practice Acro yoga…make braids in each others’ hair and document experiences such as BOGA YOGA’s new favorite pastime the “board run challenge.” The surprise of none other than Trevor Hall and his wife paddling by enjoying their own version of the green mountain state was a perfect ending. I am so blessed to be a part of this Wanderlust BOGA YOGA family. Cheers to those Stratton stars that led to beautiful summer days up on the mountain.

Thank you to all of my wonderful adventure seeking students who gave me the opportunity to share my love of BOGA YOGA, who were accepting enough to try a new voice, a new challenge to their yoga practice and an amazing hug that led to an endless connection. See you next year, Wanderlust Vermont! I can’t wait!
